► The product shall have a certificate of conformity from SASO accredited certification bodies (CBs).
► A separate request shall be submitted to SASO for each model of products to be licensed for the Environmental Performance Efficiency Label.
► The required forms shall be completed and SASO shall be provided with any other documents, upon request.
► The supplier shall pay SASO the costs of label licensing, which will be mentioned below.
► SASO shall verify that the product has a certificate of conformity and that all documents and information submitted by the supplier are correct.
► SASO shall specify the costs for label licensing on a preferential basis; i.e. the best product model in terms of the environmental performance efficiency shall be granted the label license free of charge. The license cost increases if the concerned product is less efficient in terms of the environmental performance.
► SASO shall grant the supplier the label license after fulfilling the licensing requirements.
► The label license is valid for one renewable year, provided that the supplier shall apply for renewal at least one month prior to the expiry date.
► The label shall be fixed on licensed products only in a visible position in an indelible manner.
► The label shall be made of a material ensuring that the label remains fixed on the product or its pack from the manufacturing phase to its delivery to the consumer, unless removed or damaged deliberately.
► The label shall be fixed on the product or its pack in the manner specified by SASO in terms of the type and degree.
► The fixed label shall be identical to the label approved by SASO.
► The supplier shall be allowed to announce the license of using the label in its commercial transactions to prove that the products are licensed and monitored by SASO.
► The license and label shall be used for the licensed products only. The supplier shall be strictly prohibited from using the label misleadingly or incorrectly or in any other manner deemed misleading by SASO or the Regulatory Authorities.
► The packaging materials of products shall carry the label.
